What's the Weather really like in Eugene, Oregon?

February Weather Review

It's time for our February weather review for 2024. Welcome to my YouTube channel, everyone. My name is Lauri Howes. I'm a realtor here in the Eugene Springfield area. Now, let's see what February brought for us. The average high temperatures in February are usually around 51 degrees, and our low is mid-30s. And this February 2024, we ended up with highs in the 60s. It was a beautiful February, and we had a lot of sun and beautiful clouds.

We did see some foggy mornings. Here's a quick tip. If the fog is lingering in Eugene, driving five miles east will get you high enough to where the fog is usually lifted. Or you can take a fantastic hike on Mount Piscay and see the blanket of fog from the top of the mountain. Today the fog it's clinging to the Willamette River. And we saw a few rainy days, eighteen rainy days to be exact. It was mostly light rain and pretty warm outside, so it wasn't that bad. We had many sun breaks between the showers until the end of the month. We were also blessed with some beautiful sunrises and some spectacular sunsets.

Then it started snowing, but there was not enough snow, cold weather, or cold temperatures to keep the snow on the ground and make it stick. Then, a mighty storm blew in, and we got torrential rain. However, we did not make our average rainfall this February. Our average rainfall is usually around 5.43 inches, so we were slightly less than an inch shy. Even with this cold weather it's not stopping the flowering plums from blooming.
